Blade and Light Performs Mohs Surgery and Cures Skin Cancer in Bucharest, Romania!
In June 2013, a Blade and Light Team organized by Dr. Dan Berg travelled to Bucharest, Romania. The team was hosted by Dr. Mihaela Levanter and Mirel Leventer and her staff at the Dermastyle Clinic. This was the third time that Blade and Light has visited Romania. Dr. Leventer is a pioneering dermatologic surgeon in Romania, and the first physician in her country to perform Mohs surgery. Blade and Light along with its Romanian colleagues gave lectures on skin cancer, mohs surgery, reconstruction principles at the Bucharest University School of Medicine. Mohs surgery was performed in the procedures rooms at Dr. Leventer’s Clinic. During the surgical session, a documentary was filmed on skin cancer in Romania and the role of Blade and Light. Blade and Light would like to thank the Leventers and their staff for hosting the team, and for their gracious hospitality.
